Beatriz Millar (1967), born in Einsiedeln (Switzerland).
Lives and works in Toscolano-Maderno, Lake Garda (Italy).
After graduating from the Lehrerseminar (Diploma in Education for Primary School) in Rickenbach in the canton of Schwyz, she taught for six years in elementary school Küssnacht (Switzerland). At the same time she followed the course of sculptural art of wood at the Kunstgewerbeschule (Academy of Fine Arts), Lucerne (Switzerland). The passion for fashion led her to Milan as a model, where she resumed her studies and graduated in Fashion Design Institute IGOS.
Her works differ between various forms of expression, which are designed conceptually with the theme of femininity and are turning towards the transcendental world with a multimedia language, consisting of performances (PLASTIC DORIANNE IN LOVE, Hamartanein, Beatrizifal's Tarot, Blue(S)atin, EENA's Formula, Lux Mater), photography and painting, video and sculpture, furniture and design objects, weaving together the personal origins of the artist.
